Prevention Is Better Than Treatment!

Next a few tips you can follow to help prevent hemorrhoids from developing.

Diarrhea, constipation, and sitting on the toilet for long periods of time, for any reason, are all common causes of hemorrhoids. Maintaining a healthy and functional excretory system, therefore, is crucial to hemorrhoids prevention. A diet high in fiber is essential, and so is eating moderate portions of food.

It is also recommended that people do not read while sitting on the toilet. Reading preoccupies the mind and keeps people on the toilet longer than necessary, thereby indirectly contributing to hemorrhoids. In addition to avoiding extended stays on the commode, people should avoid sitting in one position for too long. Those who work desk jobs should rise for at least five minutes each hour, especially people who have had a history of hemorrhoids.
